Pour une pédagogie européenne
La semaine dernière, j’ai participé dans le cadre de mes responsabilités professionnelles, à une réunion d’un projet européens Edutube plus. C’est un projet financé par la commission européenne pour créer la plateforme de vidéos éducatives européennes. Ce projet dont le développement à commencer en septembre 2008, réunit 17 partenaires et 11 nationalités. Vous pouvez découvrir tous les éléments constitutifs de ce projet à l’adresse web suivante.
Sous un aspect très technique, à travers la création d’une plateforme de vidéos éducatives, nous abordons une question plus fondamentale liée à l’émergence d’une conscience européenne de l’éducation. Sommes nous en mesure aujourd’hui de pouvoir construire un socle commun éducatif ? Les environnements digitaux vont ils nous permettre de relever ce défi ? Derrière cette interrogation, ne sommes nous pas amené à participer à l’émergence d’une civilisation européenne ? L’Europe s’est construite sur la réglementation économique, un moyen efficace pour avancer mais aujourd’hui qu’en est il des environnements culturels et éducatifs ? L’éducation c’est souvent forgée dans certaines disciplines que l’on pourrait qualifier de sensible (histoire, géographie …) dans une approche autocentrée même si les démocraties européennes ont cherché à mettre en place une impartialité dans le traitement. Nous ne serons pas en mesure d’expliquer ou de présenter à l’occasion de la chute du mur de Berlin, une vision éducative commune de cet événement dans nos différents pays. Mais est il nécessaire d’avoir une même approche, des mêmes contenus à étudier ? Sûrement pas. L’Europe ne doit pas être synonyme d’uniformité. Par ailleurs, l’histoire n’est pas la seule discipline enseignée, il est plus facile de créer un même corpus sur les mathématiques ou la physique. Sûrement ! Mais là encore, la question est ailleurs, elle réside dans ce que nous pourrions appeler la méthodologie éducative ou l’approche pédagogique. Comment va-t-on sélectionner des contenus, comment va-t-on les enseigner, comment va-t-on les utiliser ? A quoi vont-ils servir? L’utilisation d’un support comme la vidéo dans une démarche éducative et plus précisément l’apport de l’interactivité peut nous amener à se reposer ces questions. Le web documentaire interactif présenté dans mon billet précédant vient de recevoir le second prix Europa avec une mention spéciale du jury, une reconnaissance européenne sur la forme, le fond n’a rien d’Européen ! Sommes-nous en mesure de créer les bases communes d’une pédagogie numérique ?
Nous n’avons pas le temps de repenser les contenus éducatifs pour faire émerger une conscience européenne de l’éducation. Créer une ontologie commune à partir de nos programmes nationaux éducatifs, ne nous permettra pas d’établir rapidement les bases d’une civilisation européenne commune. Pour agir vite, créons des méthodes pédagogiques communes adaptables à nos contenus nationaux spécifiques et donnons à ces outils une universalité dans leur utilisation.
